About Naya

A precision neuromodulation clinic in Marylebone. We measure the brain before we treat it, we treat the circuit rather than the symptom, and we tell you plainly whether it is working.

Why we built this

Naya was founded in 2025 by Dan and Emily Honeywell, after someone in their family was told by more than one clinician that a long-term neurological condition was simply something to live with. The advice was to adjust expectations. There was no plan to get better.

That is a common experience among the people we see. Most have been through several treatments, several specialists and several years. The pattern our patients describe is being passed along rather than treated, and eventually being told, in one form or another, that the problem might not be real.

So the clinic was built around a different starting point. Measure first. Treat the circuit that the measurement points to. Then measure again, and say honestly what changed.

Measurement is the whole idea

Most clinics offering magnetic stimulation in London do one thing, and do it competently: a room, a coil and a protocol. What almost none of them do is measure you first.

Before you receive a single pulse, we establish a baseline: grip strength, heart rate variability captured continuously by a wearable ring, and cognitive testing across twelve separate domains. That tells us where to target. It also means that at the end of a course, the question of whether it worked is answered with your own numbers rather than with your recollection of how you felt in March.

The assessment is a measurement tool, not a diagnostic test. Results are read alongside clinical judgement, never instead of it.

Two pathways, one clinical engine

Restore is for people below their baseline with a diagnosed condition. Chronic pain, depression, anxiety, fatigue, migraine. Courses are longer and the goal is ordinary life resuming.

Optimise is for people at or above their baseline who want measurable cognitive gains. Programmes are shorter, often five sessions, and the point is a number that moves. Both run off the same measurement platform and the same clinical governance.

The science, and its limits

Magnetic stimulation has been used clinically for more than twenty five years. The evidence is strongest in treatment-resistant depression, where several large sham-controlled trials support it and NICE has issued interventional procedures guidance. Professor Alexander Sack, who directs the Academy of Brain Stimulation, advises us and trains our clinicians; writing in The Telegraph in March 2026, he put response rates in treatment-resistant depression at around 50 to 60 per cent, with remission at roughly 30 to 40 per cent.

For chronic pain, fatigue, migraine and cognition the evidence base is younger and smaller. We will tell you which category your own condition sits in, and we would rather lose the booking than overstate it.

Personalised neurocardiac targeting, sometimes called heart-brain coupling, is a more recent development in the field. It is grounded in published research, including work from our own scientific advisor. We believe we are the first clinic in London to make it standard practice for every patient rather than treating it as a research finding.

Inside the clinic

The room matters more than it sounds like it should. Many of the people we treat are hypersensitive to light, sound and touch, either because of their condition or because of what living with it has done to their nervous system. A bright, busy, beeping clinic makes that worse before treatment even starts.

Our rooms at UNTIL Marylebone are low-lit and quiet, and the space was designed for sensitive nervous systems rather than for clinical efficiency.

Your journey here

It starts with a free fifteen-minute conversation with a clinician about what you are dealing with and what has already been tried. If stimulation is not right for you, they will say so on that call.

If it is, the next step is assessment and consultation, then your baseline measurements, then a course with a defined number of sessions agreed in advance. One person coordinates the whole thing, so you are not the one chasing appointments between departments. Reassessment happens partway through rather than at the end, because that is when the information is still useful.

For GPs and referring clinicians

You can refer directly, and no GP letter is required for a patient to self-refer. We write back with an assessment summary, the protocol used and the outcome measures, so the referral does not disappear into a private clinic and stay there.

Our clinical team includes consultant psychiatrists, a general practitioner and osteopaths with postgraduate training in magnetic stimulation. Screening covers seizure history, implanted devices and metal in the head before any treatment is offered.

Scientific advisory board

Professor Alexander Sack is a global leader in neuromodulation and Director of the Academy of Brain Stimulation. He advises the clinic and trains our clinicians.

Paul Jakimciw brings two decades in healthtech and biomedicine, having scaled ventures including Ada Health. Lorin van Nuland is chief executive of Apeiron Investment Group. Dr Elikem Tamaklo is a physician and healthcare leader who built Nyaho Healthcare into a multi-site system.

Insurance and funding

Some comprehensive and international health insurance policies, including Bupa Global, may cover consultations and treatment depending on your individual policy. We provide insurer-ready documentation: invoices, diagnosis summaries and treatment plans with the relevant codes and clinical rationale.

Interest-free payment plans are available. The initial consultation is free, so you can find out whether treatment is appropriate before any money is involved.

Working with organisations

We work with employers and health concierges whose people need something more specific than an employee assistance programme. The Optimise pathway suits organisations directly, because a five-session programme with before and after cognitive measurement produces something a business can actually evaluate.

Governance and records

Treatment is doctor-led, protocols are aligned to current clinical guidance, and clinical decisions are never linked to commercial incentive. Every clinician who treats you holds professional indemnity insurance appropriate to their registration, and details of individual cover are available on request.
